+ | After the third elimination and with five players remaining, SingularByte had a 100% guaranteed pathway that would cause a Bystander victory, but it required a precisely ordered sequence of votes on an elimination proposal to enact. However, lendun voted out of order, meaning that the two Crew could force the proposal through without the Bystanders being able to take the necessary preparatory steps. | ||

Latest revision as of 22:54, 26 November 2022
Started on the 17th October 2022, with Josh as the Outsider:
Alright, crew, you know the drill: we get in, we get the stuff, and we get out clean. We don't leave any evidence, we don't leave any loot, and we don't leave any witnessess, you got it? That means if you get seen... deal with it.
The Outsider is the Mastermind, and the players are Museum Patrons; Rebels are the Crew, and loyalists are Bystanders. Nighttimes are Power Cuts, when Bystanders can be Got Rid Of before we get the lights back on.
The game was a Crew Victory, with Bais and TDS as the Crew.

Rules
Eyes on the Prize
The Crew team have an amount of Proceeds, being a number of dollars that start at zero. This number is tracked privately by the Mastermind. If the Proceeds ever reach or exceed $1,000,000, then the Heist has achieved its aims, the Crew leave, and the Crew team win.
Hidey Holes
If there are 8 hours or more left in the current day period, and if there are four or more Museum Patrons left in the game, and if no other Museum Patron is hiding, a Museum Patron can announce in the-council-story-and-enacted-rules that they are hiding, optionally specifying where. Once they have done so, they will remain hiding until immediately after the next Power Cut. While a Museum Patron is hiding they may not vote on any proposal and may not be eliminated in the Power Cut.
Let's Make Lots Of Money
If he has not done so since the most recent proposal enacted, the Mastermind may create an Opportunity by privately selecting a Bystander at random, then two other Patrons at random: the first becomes the Opportunity's Witness and the other two become its Patsies. This Opportunity exists until a Theft has been orchestrated or a proposal enacts.
While an Opportunity exists, the Mastermind may orchestrate a Theft, if a specific Crew member (who is not one of the Opportunity's Patsies) agrees to this: the Proceeds are increased by $100,000 and the Mastermind must privately inform the Opportunity's Witness of three names - the agreeing Crew member, and the Opportunity's two Patsies.
Blow The Bloody Doors Off
There are four Artifacts - a walkie-talkie, a bolt cutter, a detonator, and a smoke grenade. These artifacts begin in the possession of the Mastermind, and while they are are in the possession of the Mastermind they are not physical items; however, any artifact that is not in the possession of the Mastermind becomes a physical item.
If all four artifacts are held by Museum Patrons then any Patron may, as a physical proposal, propose to Escape. When an Escape Proposal is enacted, if any of them are in the possession of Crew, then the four artifacts return to the possession of the Mastermind and it immediately becomes Lights Out; however, if all of them are in the possession of Bystanders then the Bystanders have won.
Pin Drop
Patrons may not communicate privately about the game, with the exception that each Patron may send one other Patron (or the Mastermind) a private message consisting of a single Patron's name or a single face- or hand-based emoji, if they have not done so since the last time that Time Passed. Time Passes whenever the lights go out, a proposal is resolved, or the Mastermind announces that Time has Passed.
Public Shaming
Any player (Patron or Mastermind) who becomes aware of private message(s) that breaks the rules imposed by the pin drop proposal is bound to publicly announce the author and content of said message(s).
Flashlights
Two flashlights exist, which are physical objects starting on the ground. Each flashlight that is being held may be pointing to a Patron, and a Patron holding a flashlight may choose to point it to a Patron by saying so in the-council-story-and-enacted-rules. While a flashlight is pointing to a Patron, that Patron is said to be Illuminated.
For the Crew team to be able to perform a kill during Lights Out, there must be at least one Crew that is living, non-hiding, and not Illuminated. However, they are not obligated to perform this kill and may choose to skip it.
Once per lights out phase, the Crew team's proceeds are increased by $100,000 per non-illuminated Crew that is currently holding a flashlight.
Floor Plan
The Floor Plan is a physical object that starts on the floor. When notifying a Witness of a Theft, if the agreeing Crew Member is carrying the Floor Plan then they may name any two Patrons of their choice as Patsies. If the Witness to a Theft is carrying the Floor Plan, then they are not informed of its second Patsy.
Hero Move
The day after the next Lights Out phase will start with 9h available, rather than the usual 12h. Once in the entire game, a bystander can claim to tackle a different patron in the story-and-enacted-rules channel. If the tackled patron is the only remaining crew, then the bystanders win. Else, the tackler is eliminated.

The Crew team have an amount of Proceeds, being a number of dollars that start at zero. This number is tracked privately by the Mastermind. If the Proceeds ever reach or exceed $1,000,000, then the Heist has achieved its aims, the Crew leave, and the Crew team win.

ENACTED: Seed Proposal: Hidey Holes by Josh (0 hours)
If there are 8 hours or more left in the current day period, and if there are four or more Museum Patrons left in the game, and if no other Museum Patron is hiding, a Museum Patron can announce in the-council-story-and-enacted-rules that they are hiding, optionally specifying where. Once they have done so, they will remain hiding until immediately after the next Power Cut. While a Museum Patron is hiding they may not vote on any proposal and may not be eliminated in the Power Cut.

ENACTED: Seed Proposal: Let's Make Lots Of Money by Kevan (0 hours)

ENACTED: Seed Proposal: Blow The Bloody Doors Off by Josh (0 Hours)
There are four Artifacts - a walkie-talkie, a bolt cutter, a floor plan, and a smoke grenade.

ENACTED: Seed Proposal: Pin Drop by Kevan (0 hours)
Patrons may not communicate privately about the game, with the exception that each Patron may send one other Patron (or the Mastermind) a private message consisting of a single Patron's name or a single face- or hand-based emoji, if they have not done so since the last time that Time Passed. Time Passes whenever the lights go out, a proposal is resolved, or the Mastermind announces that Time has Passed.

FAILED: Two flashlights exist by Kevan (4 hours)
Two flashlights exist, which are physical objects starting on the ground. Each flashlight that is being held may be pointing to a Patron, and a Patron holding a flashlight may choose to point it to a Patron by saying so in the-council-story-and-enacted-rules. While a flashlight is pointing to a Patron, that Patron is said to be Illuminated. While both Crew members are Illuminated, Patrons cannot and need not be eliminated during the Lights Out phases.

ENACTED: Two Flashlights Exist by muliple authors (3 hours)

FAILED: Isolation Chamber 91 hour)
Any Patron who has not posted in the #the-council channel in the preceding seven days, voted on an open proposal in #the-council-proposal-vote-channel, or otherwise taken a game action in seven days is considered to be Truculent. The Mastermind may put a Truculent Patron into the Freezer by announcing that they are doing so in #the-council-story-and-enacted-rules.
A Patron in the Freezer may cease to be in the Freezer by posting to #the-council-story-and-enacted-rules announcing that they are Penitent. If that Patron is also a Bystander then the Mastermind also gains $100k.
Patrons in the Freezer may not vote on proposals or take any other game actions, except expressing Pentience. They are not considered when counting votes to resolve proposals, unless that proposal would directly award victory to a single faction or individual player. They are also not considered to be players when assessing whether the Bystanders have achieved victory through the elimination of all Crew.

Game end
After the third elimination and with five players remaining, SingularByte had a 100% guaranteed pathway that would cause a Bystander victory, but it required a precisely ordered sequence of votes on an elimination proposal to enact. However, lendun voted out of order, meaning that the two Crew could force the proposal through without the Bystanders being able to take the necessary preparatory steps.
