Strains
- Maladaption (pokes): At the beginning of round R, you gain 7(3-R) energy.
- Superadaptation (pokes): At the beginning of round R, you gain 7(R-3) energy.
- Parasitic Strain (Josh): Spend 20; pick another Mad Engineer. That Mad Engineer has their defence reduced by 20 this round and your defence is increased by whatever their total defence would have been.
- Excessive Lethality (Flaw) (Josh): If there are only two Mad Engineers left in the game, then any Energy that you allocate to Defence is Burned instead of Spent.
- Overcharged (Clucky): Any damage you deal is doubled. Any damage you take is doubled.
- Equilibriumizer (Clucky): If you end your turn between 1 and 49 energy, gain 10 energy to a maximum of 50 energy. If you end your turn above 50 energy, lose 10 energy to a minimum of 50 energy.
- Very Obvious Pit of Doom (Cuddlebeam): You can spend 0 to Open or Close the Pit, and the Pit is by default Open. While Open, anyone (including the owner) can Throw Themselves into the Pit by Spending 0. Doing so kills them.
- Brainworm Trap (Cuddlebeam): Spend 10: If you're Attacked this Round, everyone who Attacked you gains a Brainworm. (Brainworm is a Strain with the following: Each Round, lose Energy equal to the amount of other Mad Scientists still alive)
- Poxwalker (plague carrier) (Trapdoorspyder): Has 20 energy. For each non-Poxwalker player
this damaged by attacking in combatthat this attacked and that took damage each round, they take another 5 damage and you gain another Poxwalker with 5 energy. - Mass Graves (downside) (Trapdoorspyder): whenever another player dies, you take 5 unblockable damage unless you are the last player remaining
Unnamed Strain 1Broadcast Strain (Jumble): Immediately give a copy of the Strain with the highest bid to all other players.Unnamed Strain 2Weakpoint Strain (Jumble): If you attack an Engineer below 50 Energy, gain an extra 50% attack towards them. Both numbers are increased by 10 for every Strain the Engineer in question has.- Locked Strain (Flaw) (Chiiika): Whenever you win an auction other than this one, pay 45 Energy instead of the bidded value.
- Dormant Antibiotic Strain (Chiiika): Whenever the target of your attack that consist of at least 10 Energy has reduced energy due to attacks made against them, gain one Antibiotic Mutation. Whenever you have 7 or more Antibiotic Mutations, you win the game.
