This is an attempt to apply a taxonomy of different victory types to the history of BlogNomic. Those types are:-
- Conventional: A player wins through regular dynastic-rule gameplay.
- Scam: A player exploits the rules in an unintended manner to achieve victory.
- Pooling: Several players combine their resources to allow one of their number (often selected at random) to win.
Conventional types:
- [&]: Assisted conventional. Win that relies on an alliance/collaboration but there is no Pooling maneuver, for example, a trade of resources or synergy without deliberate/planned self-sacrifice.
Scam types:
- [R] Read-as-written (RAW). A rule or rules being exploited in a surprising but uncontested manner.
- [L] Late reveal. A player delaying informing others that a rule may have been broken, to gain advantage.
- [A] Admin advantage. A scam which could only be performed by an admin player.
Pooling types:
- [$] Pooling a tradeable game resource
- [!] One or more players taking an action to give another victory
- [V] Block-voting as a group, in order to assign victory among that group
- [V*] Same as above, but voting mechanics are altered by some dynastic rule.
Other Dynasty end types:
- [E] Election: a victor is elected by the players (typically for dynastic merit or popularity), either through an election among several players, or by passing a vote to crown one specific winner.
- [R] A random player chosen among an impartial set of players is the victor.
- [R*] Random, but the victor is a set of players chosen by their merit in the game (for example, two tied players in the lead)
- [M] No victor, the Dynasty results in a Metadynasty.
