Theme: Superheros

(By chance, two powers from different players both referenced resetting the game to a past round.)

Powers

  • Adaptive Mutation: For each opponent targeting you this round that has targeted you last round, your Defense increases by 10 until the start of the next round.
  • Aegis Boy: Sidekick. Can allocate Defence to any Superhero other than its owner. Any Attack directed at that Superhero (up to a total equal to the amount of Defence allocated by Aegis Boy) is added to the Energy of Aegis Boy's owner.
  • Curses: Choose someone to Curse every round. Any damage the Cursed person receives that round is doubled.
  • Futuresight: Spend 14, up to once per round: After the allocation phase, 11 additional Energy (not coming from your total) are allocated, according to prior instructions which can be dependent upon others' attacks on you in the allocation phase, before the resolution phase.
  • Giant Oversized Drill That Pierces The Heavens: Choose another Superhero. That Superhero is Eliminated. No other effect can prevent this effect — However, targeting the player holding Retroactive Health Kit would still cause a rollback and this does not prevent Vengeance. This Power can only be used once per game.
  • Heavy: You begin with 25 more Energy, but cannot make any attacks using less than 33 Energy. If this power is won, it cannot be discarded.
  • Meltdown: Burn X, where X is 10 or greater. All opponents must Burn X/2 (rounded down)
  • Microscopic: Set your Energy to 1 when you win this Power — This will occur before processing any bids on alphabetically later Powers. Add 100 to your Defence each round.
  • Negatronic Field: The Field starts with an intensity of 50. Every Superhero that bids on the Field loses their bid; the Field's intensity is reduced by 1 for each Energy bid by a Superhero who doesn't win it. At the start of each turn, every Superhero who doesn't have the Field loses Energy equal to the Field's Intensity. The Field then loses 5 Intensity.
  • Retroactive Health Kit: If you die in a round, reset the gamestate to one round before this round (or the start of this round if this is the first round), gain 25 Energy, then discard this Power.
  • Time Machine: Spend 10 and choose an earlier round not previously chosen for use with this effect: At the end of this round, return all other Heroes to the state they were in at the end of that round.
  • Vengeance: If you are Eliminated by one or more Superheroes, you're instead set into a Vengeance state for one round with 30 Energy. If during that round, you Eliminate one of the Superheros that activated your Vengeance state, you lose your Vengeance state, your Energy is then set to 30 and this Power is removed.

Heroes before Round 1

  • Cuddlebeam — 71 (Heavy, Vengeance)
  • Josh — 69 (Aegis Boy [25], Curses)
  • Jumble — 74 (Giant Oversized Drill That Pierces The Heavens)
  • Kevan — 94 (Meltdown, Time Machine)
  • Pokes — 42 (Adaptive Mutation, Futuresight, Retroactive Health Kit)
  • Zyborg — 75

Microscopic and Negatronic Field were discarded.

CFJs

  1. How much Energy does Aegis Boy have? - Cuddlebeam
    • The total amount of the winning bid.
  2. Does Meltdown's 'all opponents' also target Sidekicks? - Cuddlebeam
    • It targets others' Sidekicks, but not one's own Sidekicks.
  3. Does "All opponents must Burn" mean "take unblockable damage immediately" or "must, next turn, opt to burn"? - Kevan
    • All opponents take unblockable damage immediately.
  4. Should the same [alphabetical ordering] go for Retroactive Health Kit and Time Machine firing in the same round? - Kevan
    • Yes, the way that I will process it is in alphabetical order, but the Retroactive Health Kit would be recreated by the reversion.
  5. Wait, does "Set your Energy to 1 when you win this Power — This will occur before processing any bids on alphabetically later Powers." mean that a Microscopic Hero will die if they win any bids on alphabetically later Powers? - Kevan
    • Yes.
  6. Does that mean that ["At the start of each turn, every Superhero who doesn't have the Field loses Energy equal to the Field's Intensity"] Superheroes have less Energy to allocate each turn, or is it just damage that gets applied at the end of each allocation phase? - Josh
    • Damage is applied.
  7. On Vengeance, if, say, three Superheroes attack a Hero against whom you're Vengeancing and eliminate them, and you are one of those three, does that count as you eliminating them for the purposes of vengeance? Or does it have to be solo? - Josh
    • It would count as you eliminating them for the purposes of Vengeance.
  8. Does the same apply to Retroactive Health Kit? Could you get hit by the Drill, roll back and then get hit with it again? - Josh
    • Yes.
  9. Can the Retroactive Health Kit revive people? - Cuddlebeam
    • Yes.
  10. Does the Negatronic Field's damage ignore defense? - Zyborg
    • Yes.
