The humans who play the Blognomic give them value. I mean value in the sense of being able to cause anything meaningful. Nomic is like "software" that "runs" on the ''minds'' and ''actions'' of the human players, not in ideal mathematical space.. Because of this, there are several issues which arise.

There is no magic force which compels players to do what is legal or always acknowledge what is legal - even if there is a rule that says that you're supposed to obey the rules, that is in itself a rule, and there is no magic force which compels you to obey that. This seems very obvious, but the lack of the 'magic force' has a lot of consequences, which is why I'm pointing it out.

The humans who play the Blognomic give them value. I mean value in the sense of being able to cause anything meaningful. Nomic is like "software" that "runs" on the minds and actions of the human players, not in ideal mathematical space.. Because of this, there are several issues which arise.


There is no magic force which compels players to do what is legal or always acknowledge what is legal - even if there is a rule that says that you're supposed to obey the rules, that is in itself a rule, and there is no magic force which compels you to obey that. This seems very obvious, but the lack of the 'magic force' has a lot of consequences, which is why I'm pointing it out.
